Campbell River Search and Rescue (CR SAR) will be conducting a door-to-door wildfire evacuation order exercise on Tuesday October 29.
On October 17 at 10:17 am, millions of people worldwide will drop, cover and hold for the annual Great ShakeOut earthquake drill.
These plans will further the Regional District’s efforts to reduce wildfire by identifying the risks of wildland/urban interface fires within and surrounding the region.
This Tradeshow is free to the public and a fun way for families to learn how to be more prepared for a disaster.
At the SRD’s July Board Meeting, the SRD Board made its position clear and is not prepared to entertain any actions that would facilitate additional development and threaten delicate ecosystems related to the Oyster River.
