The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) has activated a Regional Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) in conjunction with the Village of Tahsis, Village of Zeballos, Ehattesaht/Chinehkint First Nation, Nuchatlaht First Nation and Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k:tles7et'h' First Nations
This shelter will continue to run nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. until Tuesday January 4th, 2022.
This shelter will be activated this evening and run nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. until December 30th.

The SRD is accepting applications until March 4th, 2022 from community organizations that would like to use woodchips for public purposes.
Starting today, November 22, non-deposit glass bottles and jars and foam packaging (both white and coloured) will no longer be accepted at Recycle BC Depots.
The SRD has deployed staff to assist with flood recovery in Halalt First Nation and Emergency Support Services (ESS) volunteers to support people who have been displaced in the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD).
SRD Chair Brad Unger is reminding the community about respectful conduct during the strike action at the Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex.
